BACKGROUND

The learning simulator project originates from research on learning phenomena in humans and other animals, sponsored by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation. This project, named 'Evolutionary Transitions in Humans, from Nature to Culture', is based at the Centre for Cultural Evolution at Stockholm University. Here, we studied the evolutionary transitions in humans, how humans became a cultural species. A key part of this project was to understand similarities and differences in mental capacities between humans and other animals. The learning simulator emerged through this research and has proven a useful tool for simulating learning phenomena. To read more about the project sponsored by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation, please click the 'Project Page' button below.
