SCRIPT DATABASE

Here you can currently find some example scripts that demonstrate the simulator. In order to work with the simulator, copy the text from these files into the program and click 'plot'. You can try changing values to explore the different functions. In future, we aim to construct a database with scripts from published work, teaching material and other sources. To be continued soon!

DEMO: BASIC PAVLOVIAN LEARNING

This demo script deals with a basic example of Pavlovian conditioning. It contains a case of Pavlovian conditioning where a conditioned stimulus (CS) and a biologically relevant unconditioned stimulus (US) are paired.

DEMO: INSTRUMENTAL LEARNING

This demo script contains a case of instrumental learning. An animal learns to press a lever in order to receive a food reward.

DEMO: CHAINING

This demo script shows a situation where an animal acquires a sequence of behaviours. For chaining to be possible, neutral stimuli (CS in Pavlovian terms) need to acquire value. This way, previously neutral stimuli can act as a reinforcers.
